WCCC is a Seal of Quality Child Care Provider since 2008. Westminster Child Care Center is a 3 star rated program in the Virginia Star Quality Initiative by showing commitment to quality improvement. We received our 3 star rating by the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation on June 5, 2009. This rating is valid through June 2011.

WCCC Classroom Spotlight
Climbers Classroom
( Early Preschoolers ages 2 to 2 1/2 years)
The Climbers Room is our two year old room. This room has fourteen 2 year olds with two full time teachers and a third teacher floating in the classroom during active parts of the day. The teachers in this room have years of experience working with two year olds. The Climbers Room is the early preschool class, they focus on a more concrete schedule with circle, art, and more involved projects and tasks. The Climbers work a lot on sharing, potty training, helping the children use their words, and social interaction. They begin to work on days of the week, and other preschool preparatory developmental milestones. In the Climbers Room you will also have an introduction to field trips, more active walks and visits to nearby firehouses, libraries, and to the Martha Jefferson House. The Climbers will go on trips to Bounce n Play, GreenLeaf Park, and other area parks and playgrounds. Climbers is an active and fun classroom!!
