The application fee is waived for all families with incomes less than $30,000. You may also call and have an application mailed to you.
Tours are encouraged and are offered by reservation only typically on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Please contact our Enrollment Coordinator to set up an appointment for a tour: (434) 977-3322 ext. 30 or by email at wcccenrollment@embarqmail.com. Our Enrollment Coordinator works everyday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Enrollment We currently enroll a range of 80-90 children in our seven rooms. Child-staff ratios vary within each of the seven classrooms, but are well within state licensing limits. Each classroom is designed to serve children of a particular age range. Two teachers are in each classroom across the day with the exception of naptime. During naptime, one teacher is in each classroom. In the infant rooms, there are two teachers at all times.
Keeping Records Updated
Once enrolled at WCCC, parents are required by law to provide us with updated vaccination records as needed. Your child’s physician is able to fax this information to us at 434-977-0914. If children do not receive immunizations for religious reasons, then a form must be signed by the family stating this. This form is available in the office. Parents are also required by licensing to update any emergency card information as it changes. This includes changes in your job, address, persons authorize to pick up your child, etc.
Sibling Waitlist Policy
Once enrolled in WCCC, you have a separate wait list available for siblings not enrolled or for future children. You are required to fill out an application and pay the $20 application fee. Our siblings get priority over other families on the waitlist that do not have a child enrolled in our center. We strongly encourage families to get their application in ASAP, especially for our infant waitlist.
